EFA Adult includes: Preparing to respond, the EMS System, 'Check, Call, Care', airway emergencies, breathing and circulation emergencies and first aid for respiratory and cardiac arrest. Invest two evenings to satisfy the 8-hour requirement

CPR, LEVEL A - Learn the skills to save a life! Learn to recognize the signs and symptoms of heart attack and stroke and techniques to respond to cardiovascular emergencies and choking for people aged eight (8) and over. Learn to use barrier device/pocket masks and an Automated External Defibrillator.

HOME ALONE WORKSHOP FOR PARENT & CHILD NEW !

Legally, children under the age of 12 cannot be left alone "without making provision for their supervision and care that is reasonable in the circumstances." This class will give your child the skills to stay "home alone" safely. The class will provide an understanding of how to prevent problems, handle real-life situations and keep children safely occupied. All participants will receive a manual to take home to continue the conversation on safety; information on online and internet safety is included in the take home portion.

Are you working in the food industry? The Province of Manitoba Food Handler's Certificate is required for employees handling food, who have contact with the public. Be a certified food handler and reduce the risk of food poisoning in your restaurant, care facility, hospital, canteen, church or home - anywhere food is handled. Upon successful completion of the Food Safe course, the Province of Manitoba Food Handler's Certificate will be awarded. Student workbooks are available from the instructor: English, $17; Korean, Chinese, and Punjabi, $22. Please identify need at registration.

Requirements

Bring a peanut/nut free bag lunch and drinks for the day.
