Take the BOATING SAFETY COURSE before you go to the lake for the summer. Regulations require all operators of power driven boats to have a 'Pleasure Craft Operators Card.' The Basic course/exam is suitable for all levels of boating experience and is enjoyed by all. Even experienced boaters will learn new things. It is strongly recommended for youth and boaters with less experience. We recommend the entire family take it together!

Basic Course Fee is $80.00 per person (includes written exam and card issue).

Transport Canada regulations require all operators of motorized boats used for recreational purposes to have proof of competency (Pleasure Craft Operator Card), regardless of age or type of motor used. The basic course and exam is suitable for all levels of boating experience. Even experienced boaters will learn new things. We recommend the entire family take it together!

Are you working in the food industry? The Province of Manitoba Food Handler's Certificate is required for employees handling food, who have contact with the public. Be a certified food handler and reduce the risk of food poisoning in your restaurant, care facility, hospital, canteen, church or home - anywhere food is handled. Upon successful completion of the Food Safe course, the Province of Manitoba Food Handler's Certificate will be awarded. Student workbooks are available from the instructor: English, $15.00; Korean, Chinese and Punjabi - $20.00. Please identify need at registration.

CPR, LEVEL C: Attention: parents, babysitters and daycare workers: learn to recognize the signs and symptoms of heart attack and stroke and techniques to respond to cardiovascular emergencies and choking for adults, children and infants. Learn to use barrier device/pocket masks and an Automated External Defibrillator.

Please note: Lab fee of $36.75 payable to instructor for student book.

This Canadian Red Cross Course follows the new standards of 2010.

The Canadian Association of Emergency Physicians has stated in a declaration .,"It must become a moral obligation and a social expectation that bystanders will perform CPR when they witness cardiac arrest. The general population must come to understand that cardiac resuscitation is much more likely to be successful when CPR is started promptly..."

Recertification is available in the Food Handler's course.
