This 40-hour hands-on combined welding and machining course is designed to expose all level of students to the introductory skills of welding and machining metal. All students will be delivered welding and machining training along with the option to combine those skill sets. At the end of this course students will be able to perform various metal manufacturing techniques including welding using Oxy Acetylene, M.I.G., and A.R.C. welding processes with the ability to use various hand tools, safely operate a Mill, Lathe, Drill press, Pedestal Grinder and CNC Mill in the machining portion.


Requirements

Lab fee $120 payable to the instructor on the first night and supply their own gloves.

There is a $60 saving over the cost of individual registration fees for these courses.

SMALL ENGINE REPAIR – LEVEL II

This course is designed for the individual who wants to grasp more diagnostic skills of the electrical and carburetor systems in a small engine operation. The course builds on skills learned in the Small Engines Level One course. Items covered in the course will be carburetors, ignition and electrical systems. Students are to bring small engines not running to first day of class, and will need to bring some basic tools. A supply list will be e-mailed prior to class. Limited enrolment.

Expertise will be provided concerning safety, wood joinery, fasteners and finishing. Project choice and materials will be the responsibility of the participants. Projects like cabinets, chests, tables, bowls, solid bodied guitars, and other household items can be built. Limited enrolment.
