The Inside - Out and the Outside - In of Home Renovations
The building, renovation and repairing of homes is year round! This course will provide the ins and outs of doing work in your home including the ins and outs of code and permit requirements. You will learn about the challenges and solutions in renovation work. Taught by a retired housing inspector, building code experienced carpenter and vocational instructor. Bring your pictures, drawings and questions. Come and find out about: addition foundation, framing, minimum requirements, fastening requirements, window replacements and shingling, electrical and plumbing (if time permits), bathroom and kitchen renovations overview, stair safety requirements and more!
Materials are not included in the course fee. A lab fee will be assessed if needed.
