BOATING SAFETY  The deadline is NOW! Take the BOATING SAFETY COURSE before you go to the lake for the summer. Regulations require all operators of power driven boats to have a ‘Pleasure Craft Operators Card.’ Children must be 12 years or older and have good reading skills.

Option A: The Basic Course & Exam is suitable for all levels of boating experience. It covers all Boating safety information as required by Transport Canada.

2 Wednesdays, May 24 & 31, 6:30 - 9:45 pm

Option B: Boating Safety Review - No Test or Card Issued  This is intended for boaters that already have their PCOC (Pleasure Craft Operators Card) but would like a review of the course material. Perfect for those who just “challenged the test” years back without taking a course and/or those that may have forgotten some of the more difficult points like Right of Way rules, Buoys and markers and much more. Plus new course material was added a few years back. Also appropriate for parents who didn’t take a course but sent their children to one. Many parents are not aware of the course material their children were taught and are unable to reinforce or explain the principles. You will join in the regular course but will not write the test at the end and a PCOC card will NOT be issued. Contact 204-889-3000 to register to review or challenge the exam.
